Inspirational music

I am not sure if this is what you are looking for, but why not check out the band "Nightwish" as inspiration and possible soundtrack for the project?

They are a mix of metal and fantasy with a classically trained female lead singer. Theirs songs are found on youtube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GdZn7k5rZLQ "Amaranth" is a good example, and their website is www.nightwish.com

Tasks over the Christmas Break.

Hi Team,

Some things to think about over the Christmas break.

The Locale, Josh has already talked about the mountains so it may pay to research Alpine Climates of various countries, especially Europe, but north american works too (pulp fantasy tents to be American climates/terrain in Pseudo Medieval cultures)
you will be looking for Trees, Animals, Textures, Colours, People
A look at medieval weapons and armour too
Research into such would require any photos you can acquire

Programmers can research common RPG features and how to implement them, Inventory, Combat systems, Spell effects, Armour mounts for Characters etc. etc. We are going to do a HUGE list and prioritise the features from [10] necessary to [0] redundant, that way the important features can be implimented one at a time.

And Play a few RPGs guys make a note of what you like and what you don't.

Getting Started

aalllllllrightly then

firstly the name is temporary and I'm open to any suggestions

my game concept is available at \\earth\ProjectTemp\Supernova\Art\Game Concepts\josh

over the holidays i will be coming up with concepts on levels and characters
also I'm thinkingthat the level we will be working on is based in the mountains when the main character goes to find "the old one" any ideas for this area are welcome and any other suggestions for and alternative level

the game style could be something similar to the animated "star wars - clone wars" realism is hard to keep a good consistently and is more difficult to capture

also everybody should post at least once per week
