This is a just a cute little sword that I created and hopefully I'll start some modelling soon but I'm not sure if it will be used in the game or just as a loading page or something?! It has feathers on the base of the head (not sure what the parts called) and an easy to use handle.

+ here is my platywomkidna? haven't made a name for it yet so that will do :)
it's not finished yet but it's getting there.

Hey guys, this is an idea for an Eninroth loading screen and need Josh's approval before doing the final finish/polish and make it all pretty and everything.

The idea is basically my own interpretation of what the Neth Tree would look like. It's unfinished but this is basically what the "skeleton" or outlines of the tree would look like. Then I'll add bright blue flouresent hues to it and make it all glow and everything and then add tiny details here and there such as moss or something on there and mushrooms or whatever. I'm going to endeavor for a more professional look (which means using my artistic ability to the fullest, lol) when I get the go-ahead.

The branches are basically gonna look crystaline and everything.
To get a basic idea of how the final product, I did a test run with it and this is how it turned out:

New race! the Dongaar :)

YO

well i did this last week actually but yeah, lel.

Based on the original concept created by Tanya, the Dongaar are a non-playable race of humanoid kangaroos. The Dongaar posess primitive weapons and structures and live in small tribes around flat plains. They are great hunters and rely primarily on speed and agillity, they also practice shamanistic rituals and magic based mainly on nature and the elements.

I designed four alternate textures to show variation between tribes and classes, such as hunters, civillians, shamans and cheiftans.
There is also a boss Dongaar that lives in Durokk the Neth'Nakkra city, who has somewhat been "domesticated" i guess you can say, wearing armour and acting somewhat more humanoid.

So as always not to bore you,
here
are
pretty
PICTURES!!
:D

and here is the boss one, he's not named as of yet..
gonna probably try and stick away from anything with duplicate letters in it XP

aaand some objects

models are allready in the game with animations;
-stand
-stand2
-walk
-run
-attack
-attack2
-spell
-death

and yeah, well everything else :P

yay!

O-Z-Y
OUT!

Behold the sword of a Thousand Truths.....

I have finally posted again after so much time of not being bothered but I ive you something awesome Wlliams sword textured rendered in max and imported in torque Iwill probably need to change the bump map for torque because you can barely see it hopefully josh will let us use this in the game tell me what you think

Gday guys I haven't posted in a while so I thought I would give you guys an run down of stuff I have been doing.

1. I have put the final touches on the A* stuff (as in get the mesh to render and smoothing out the path finding so it doesn't stop at every node)

2. I have finished my summoning system whichmay not make it in game (though I really would like it to)

3. Random Encounters for the A.I.

4. An actaul A.I. for mobs and passive creatures

5. My leveling and stats is very near completion.

6. Making the pit fall covers for the weird plants with tentacles whose name escapes me.

I am currently working on A.I. for aggressive critters and when I finally know what quests are going to be in Adam's level I will be working on that. So peace out every one it's not long before the presentation so make sure you work really hard coz time will be up before you know it.

Bird update

An updoate to my 3D bird. Ready to be rigged and textured.

Friday, May 14, 2010

Yo, J2 here. Just posting my model sheet, and my semi-modeled model. I will finish modeling it, Unwrap it, and get a diffuse, bump and specular maps done for it by Monday :D

Thursday, May 13, 2010

I've uploaded my file for my creature onto the student share files. Its textured but not rigged, as the only things I worked out was that it probably requires a custom rig and I just don't have what it takes (:P).

I'm sorry, I hope what is there is good enough.

Get into Eninroth Early (PART 1)

For those of you who have got the itch to get into An Eninroth RPG here are my conversions of Some things to the Savage Worlds Tabletop RPG game (thats a pen and paper RPG folks)

Player Races
Human
Humans can be found on all corners of Eninroth and come in all sorts of sizes shapes and colours
  • Adaptable - Humans start the game with a free Edge.
Elf (Telifarin)
the Elves of Telifar and the Merdian forests around the city of Tanyalas are a noble but hidden people
  • Nimble - Elves start with an Agility attribute of d6 and can raise this to d12+1 through normal advancement
  • Elfsight - Elves can see in low light and gain the ability Low Light Vision.
  • Mistrusted - the People of Telifar are secretive and dont much deal with non-elves, as such the cultural differences incur them a -2 penalty to Charisma
Neth
The mountain people of central Merdia are a tough people with a deep connection to the god ruling their current era. A reflective people they focus inward to explore their world.
  • Focused - Neth start with a Spirit of d6 and can raise this to d12+1 through normal
  • Crystals - Neth can draw energy from the crystals that grow from their bodies and that if any neth take a magical background they have access to 5 extra power points.
  • Cautious - Taking great care not to disturb the world around them Neth consider each step they take and so have a pace of 5
  • Pacifists - Neth will not initate combat, but will fight to defend themselves.

Skills / Edges / Equipment
Eninroth is at a level of technology and culture equivalent to Medieval Europe and such can use any skills available to those sort of characters

Magic
Magic exists as a real and powerful force connected to the Elemental gods and Eninroth itself, any player wishing to harness these energies is required to take the following Edge

Arcane Background (Elementalist)
Starting Powers: 2
Starting Power Points: 10
Skill Required: Channelling

Elemental Magic is drawn from deep knowledge of Eninroth and its core, it is a natural talent and cannot be learned from a book. Elementalists meditate to focus their elements.
An Elementalist must choose a specific elemental focus which give +2 to casting of related spells but cannot learn powers of the opposite element, e.g. An water Elementalist following the path of the Bird-God Altic would gain a +2 bonus on spells with trappings, related to water and also being a water Elementalist gives an edge over the fire god and his followers

More to come...

Here is a render of my toad with a new texture. I'm having fun with bumpmaps - they kind of sort of don't work on top of the toad yet :P
Graham and I are looking at rigging, it will be a race to see what wins, my ignorance or Graham's teaching!
Also, it needs a scarier eye...

Durokk

G-L-A-M-O-R-OUS
-g-l-a-m-o-rous

SUPPPPPP!
after a week of putting my soul up for prostituion (wake up, work on it, go to sleep, repeat)

i have the Neth'Nakkra city, Durokk!! ::D

a giant cavern based inside of a great mountain, Durokk is home to the Nakkra tribe housing the second crystal tree, the false neth king rules Durokk and plans his war on the Neth'Giraden.

The Nakkra tribe still worships Altic, but also plans to pull Rauk - god of the mountains, into the corporeal world before it is his age to rule, in order to use him as an ultimate weapon.

if you dont know the lore behind eninroth, this will make absolutley nooooo sense, so without further talk, I GIVE YOU PRETTY PICTURES!!!

ENJOY! :D

a neth residence

A Neth Pub lit by fireflies trapped in empty bottles, Neth need to get crunk too.

Rauk - God of the Mountains
his remains, also the Nakkra's workshop for armaments

Neth'Nakkra's Crystal Tree chamber, bearing the throne atop a staircase carved from the tree's roots.

..this will later be moved to the Neth'Giraden's temple, and a crappier tree placed here, as this one is "abit too epic"
lel :P

well! i hope you like it, there is SOOOO much more but this is as much as ill post so i dont run the risk of clogging the page.

all textures are not final, and may placeholders are there so yeah, be kind :P
hope you like!

Update

A showcase of my awesome birdie. First picture is the 3D version and the second picture are the rough (very rough) cross sheets.

Here is a model of my toad. It's been fully unwrapped and this is just a crappy texture I put on it in the last 15 minutes of class. I hope to have it properly textured and rigged for next Monday. What colour should it be? I'm thinking a dirty white/brown...

Crocotoise Update.

My 3D model of the Crocotoise.
Still tweeking the shell around and editing the inside of it. This is how it looks so far.

Sharilla Progress

Liam Davis - Twin 1

Sharilla almost completed, just working on the arms at the moment and legs, and then I'll be able to add the remaining features like the ice crystals, teeth and eyes.

Eninroth Map

Here it is Folks, a large chunk of the world of Eninroth, and areas of the map where the game occurs

Soul Dwasp Part IV: Cross Plains

Just some quick documentation of the Soul Dwasp before the ideas retire from my memory, never to be seen again, unless..they have a habit of playing hide and seek under the couch with my car keys, in which case I'll be using them to put my concepts into ignition.

This is Ostch. It is a mix between Ostrich and Chameleon. It has a long neck and legs with chameleon skin, so it keeps warm in the cold place, and it has a long tail as well. Its eyes can rotate 360-degree, so it knows what happens around it.
Each foot has five toes and each toe has a sharp claw. When cornered, it can attack with its powerful legs. (I reckon it looks weird from front view. Hehe..)

*Sorry about my excelent English. ^o^

This is a wombat, platypus and ekidna all in one. The wombat part will make sure that he keeps warm in the cold environment and the ekidna spikes will help to protect himself.

Final Sharilla

Twin 1 - Liam Davis

Righty O after some great help from TJ finally finished Sharilla, it's almost as a big as an elephant, it lives like a polar bear with its different layers of fur to keep it warm with the nature of a shark and I’ve given it ice crystals on parts of its body to have it blend into our environment.

Like all gorillas, Sharilla will defend what’s rightfully his/hers, its threatening defence move is it pounding its chest or the ground to show its dominance against a threat, if it comes to a show down battle, Sharilla will charge towards its enemy and bash into it with its large shoulders hoping to knock it down, it will then use its strength to break/crush its enemy and it will even use its ice crystals growing out of its hands as weapons, carving up its enemy, it will mainly try to break the threats neck with its razor sharp teeth dinging into its skin and using its powerful jaws to crush its wind pipe.
Sharilla's legs is the only part of its body without fur as its skin is a dark blue and thick like leather, this is because of Sharilla not using its legs and mainly its arms to move around, the legs don't get enough energy running through to keep them warm, you can basically say its legs suffered frost bite and then ice completely froze into a barrier for its legs not to be affected by the cold, their legs have pretty much not suffered any damage at all.

Also began to start the 3D model and here's my model sheets for it.
