Finally some codes!

Finally.. I have gotten off my ass and done some codes..
yes thats right people, i actually have done what i was meant to do for once!

i have the arial AI almost complete minus the attacking, but i havent got word yet whether its necessary so i left it out

and i have the Altic Flying mount codes completed now! ::D some slight tweaking is still required though of course, Altic can now be added and mounted, you can fly around on its back and fire powerful wind bursts from altic's wings.

its pretty fun actually :P i took alot of pleasure in rampaging around the sky shooting at stuff, Oh i mean "Testing it's functionallity.." yep testing :P
next step is to get the lightning shot working ;)

here are some shots yow;

Magic Happens

I've been working on porting AFX to the latest version of the engine.

AFX is a special effects add-on for Torque that includes an implementation of a magic spell system.

There were a couple of difficulties. The terrain and lighting system has completely changed since the engine was upgraded from 1.8.1 to T3D, so I had to leave this stuff out. But it doesn't make that much of a difference. Most of the good stuff is working.

Presentation in 2 weeks!

Okay with deadline for this presentation of the progress of Eninroth, I shall create a small demonstration of all the current features we have created using the Torque Engine.

Hopefully, the Multimedia team shall have some character/foliage/ ready to export and show off in this demo.

I would also like the programmers to have their tasks that they have completed(ish) up in the Eninroth Folder under Resources. I need it by the end of the week so i can port all of it and make some form of complete demo by the time the presentation deadline.

On a brighter note all of your work is awesome and i cant wait for it to be finished!!

i have some stuff i did for a torque assignment im working on and it seemed relevant. so here you are! i give you all;

doodads.

monolithic standing stones with cave drawings, the rope is threaded through the stones and pinned with tree trunks/logs

pelts and stuffs, i cant figure out alpha channels in 3ds lel works in-game ;)

a lovely bridge

a rather beefy 2-handed mace with a stone spear point

they can be used or not,i dont mind and i can make adjustments and re-texturing as required

oh and the monolith stones come in seperate versions too, so they dont have to be connected. and there are many more to come as i work on my torque game/do modelling in my breaks because im such a dork that i enjoy it that much

Belated first post

Some of the things I've been working on:
- Melee. This is finished.
- Object interaction/selection. I'm still working on this. Most of the resources on the garagegames website are made for older versions of Torque (like 1.5.2), so I'm still updating them to work with the T3D engine.
- Database implementation. This will just be used to store stats on things like creatures/monsters, items, weapons etc. This shouldn't take too long. I added something like this to the project that we worked on last semester.

Progress :)

Well as Josh wanted a Cartoonesque theme for this RPG I began editing the shaders so the game engine itself would look more "Toony"

Let me know what you think.
Also, we need a theme for a unified GUI so if the multimedia guys can come up with some designs then the programmers can put it in then game with ease.
Post your ideas on the blog if possible

Day 1

Hey programming guys, from the ideas we gathered from monday seems like we have a fair few tasks to complete. Afer some research of my own i have found some resources that could help us tick off some of the game elements on Josh's list :

Experience/Stats

Class System

Also check out the resources from this guy, he has many cool features that will help us with Inventory, AI and other things
